 Atom is a free and open source text and source code editor for Linux, macOS and microsoft windows with the support and help written in node.js, developed by GitHub. Atom is desktop application made by wed technologies.

Atom is based on electron a framework that that link with desktop application using chromium and node.js . This can be used as Integrated Development Environment(IDE).

Atom was released from beta, as version 1.0, on 25th june 2015. the developer who developed this called it as "hackable text editor for 21st century".

the programming languages that supportable for atom are C++, C#, CSS, HTML, Java, Javascript, Python, Ruby, SQL etc....
